This position will primarily be responsible for training new and current employees in the crate refurbishment process according WMPC's SOW documentation.
This position will require you to identify breaches in process, identify defective parts, missing or poor welds, and communicate these issues effectively with other management.
In addition to managing these areas, you may have to perform these functions when necessary.
Other requirements might include, interacting by phone and email with other Refurb Facilities, Customer Service, Accounting, Scheduling & Logistics, Management, and Company Customers.
Must be able to wear required PPE.
Responsibilities:
The Refurbishment Trainer Assistant Lead will assist the Facility Manager and Assistant Manager with the responsibilities listed below.
Ensure that company objectives are met with regards to Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery.
Train new and current employees in the crate refurbishment process according WMPC's SOW documentation.
Help minimize facility downtime and increase efficiency through process training and reinforcement.
Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback.
Monitor and evaluate employee training requirements.
Ensure clear communication paths between employees and management.
Help maintain reports on repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
Performing routine maintenance on facilities and equipment, making repairs as needed.
Manage daily parts usage while controlling scrap and waste.
Provide support for customer concerns.
Ensure there is continuous improvement in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, & 5S activities.
Inspect crates daily for overall quality and functionality.
Perform any additional tasks assigned by management.
